5th Birthday Party!
On Saturday, August 20, we celebrated our 5th birthday. When we opened our doors 5 years ago, we were a different business--but our store isn't the only thing that has changed.
In the past few years, the Grand Rapids small business scene has been thriving. Thanks to our booming economy, we have welcomed businesses like Le Bon Macaron, Lee & Birch, PaLatte Coffe & Art, Furniture City Creamery, Early Bird, and Sovereign Arms Tattoo to the Uptown business district.
As new shops and restaurants opened their doors, we were blown away by our East Hills neighborhood's transformation. Our 5th birthday marked much more than our own success--it marked the success of our proud and ambitious city.
Aspiring individuals with great ideas may be the foundations of small businesses, but loyal customers make the best ideas last. Without you, our customers and consignors, we would be an empty shop. Our friendships with you continue to encourage and inspire what we do.
So with champagne, cupcakes, and a custom candy bar designed by local business owner Zahra Sadry of Social Sweets, we commemorated our new identity, adorable used clothes, great deals, Grand Rapids, and our relationships with fun and fashionable locals.
Minus the tornado, it was a perfect day. On the plus side, we now have a use for the 🌪 emoji.
