Kids' Food Basket Benefit

Every day, Kids' Food Basket feeds 7,500 children across Grand Rapids, Holland, and Muskegon. Let that sink in for a minute. Largely driven by their army of volunteers (almost 250, for those counting), Kids' Food Basket is tackling childhood hunger head on. In April, we were honored to help the fight.

How do they do it? Sack Suppers!

Delivered before the school day is over, each sack supper provides critical nutrition to help students "stay focused, get their homework done, and stay on track with other children." Assembled by volunteers, these suppers are filled with products donated or purchased by the organization. Throughout the month of April we, along with our neighbors at Global Infusion, collected food items for these sack suppers. But the real fun was the shopping benefit we held on April 27th.

We were able to raise $150 in a few short hours! There was no better feeling than dropping off tubs full of donated food items and a little pink check. We thank all of you for helping us make this happen, and we cannot wait for the next opportunity to help our community!
